Contivio provides you with various settings to tailor the behavior of the app. Configuring the Controls to your preference will enhance your efficiency and user experience.
Set your online status to do not disturb
If you want to set your online status to do not disturb to keep any calls, notifications or any other media requests from interrupting, you can:

You can automatically turn on and adjust your ‘Busy’ status in the Side Bar ‘Settings’.
Keep the Contivio app on top of every application
If you want to access and see the Client App from any application, you can:
Use the Client App in Toolbar mode
If you want more screen real estate for other applications, you can reduce the Client App to a smaller, more compact size:
Turn on/off screen pops
If you want to turn off screen pops for all media, for voice only, or for messaging only, you can:

Change your password
To log change your password, you can:

Contivio does not require you to change your password nor will it expire.

- Click the ‘Status’ icon in the User Bar and then select the ‘Busy’ status or appropriate ‘On Break’ code

You can automatically turn on and adjust your ‘Busy’ status in the Side Bar ‘Settings’.

If you want to access and see the Client App from any application, you can:
- Click the ‘Settings’ icon from Side Bar.
- Click the ‘Phone Position & Notifications’ option.
- Toggle the ‘Always on top’ slider to ‘ON’.
Use the Client App in Toolbar mode
If you want more screen real estate for other applications, you can reduce the Client App to a smaller, more compact size:
- Click the arrow icon between the ‘Minimize’ and ‘Close’ icons on the User Bar.
Turn on/off screen pops
If you want to turn off screen pops for all media, for voice only, or for messaging only, you can:
- Click the ‘Settings’ icon from Side Bar.
- Click the ‘CRM & Call Data’ option.
- From the ‘Preference’ drop-down list, select your screen pop preference. If you don't want screen pops, you would choose "Disabled" from the menu.
Always display media alerts
If you want to see all media notification alerts for all inbound and outbound communications, you can:
- Click the ‘Settings’ icon from Side Bar.
- Click the ‘Phone Position & Notifications’ option.
- Toggle the ‘Display notifications inside Contivio client’ slider to ‘ON’.
- Toggle the ‘Display notifications on desktop’ slider to ‘ON’
Access volume and speaker controls
If you want to change your audio controls, you can:
- Choose your ‘Speaker’ and ‘Microphone’ options from Side Bar ‘Audio Settings’.

Change your password
To log change your password, you can:
- Click the ‘Settings’ icon from Side Bar.
- Click the ‘Security’ option.
- Enter your ‘Old Password’, followed by your ‘New Password’ and a confirmation. Note if you're using an IP phone, you must have a numeric password.
