Using a Headset with Contivio
Using a headset with the Contivio soft-phone is the recommended mode of operation. Headsets have clearer voice conversations (versus a speaker phone) and allow hands-free operation, which is crucial if you want to maintain accurate notes in your CRM during a conversation.
There are a number of styles to consider when selecting a headset and the price can range from $50 to $400. It’s recommended you select what’s right for you based your work environment and the amount of time you spend on the phone. For example, if you’re on the phone most of the day in a noisy environment, you may consider over-the-ear, noise-canceling microphone headsets versus ear-loop, omni-directional microphone headsets.

Call center agents using a wireless head-set must also be equipped with a standard, wired head-set.
This is required for when the wireless unit has low battery. The Agent can plug in the wired head-set and confirm it is enabled as the default audio device and it will be used on the next call -- There is no need to log out and back in.
